Stephen Grey, Managing Partner

Stephen is well known for his continuous commitment to the growth of small to medium sized businesses over the last 20 years. He is a founder member of the NZICA Business Development Specialists Group and frequently presents seminars on business development topics. Stephen has developed close working relationships with his clients, including directorships, and is integrally involved in their success.

Margaret Pepper, Partner, City Practice

Margaret joined Chester Grey over 20 years ago from a background of Corporate Accounting. Margaret's specialty is Financial Accounting and Systems investigations. If there is a problem within your accounting systems Margaret will provide the solution. Margaret also has vast experience in Budgeting and Cashflow Management, Company Management and Taxation Planning.

Peter Lineen, Partner

Peter has been with Chester Grey for over 20 years specialising in advice to small to medium sized business (SMES). Originally an auditor with Inland Revenue, he has returned from the dark side to help you minimise your tax exposure. Peter completed the Business Development Specialist course at Unitec to add to his existing Business Development expertise. If you want expert assistance in developing your business - Peter is the man to speak too.

Alan founded Chester Grey in 1969 and has been pivotal in its success and growth over the past 40 years. Alan continues to consult to the firm offering the benefit of his wealth of experience to benefit the team and our clients.

 Scott Mai, CA - Partner

Scott is a Senior Accountant with an extensive background both in New Zealand and the UK. Scott worked at Chester Grey a number of years ago prior to embarking on his overseas working experience in the UK where he specialised in Project Management.  Scott heads up our ICT systems solutions division - CG BizTech Ltd (www.cgbiztech.co.nz) providing software solutions, implementation, training and support to a wide range of clients.  Scott was recently made Partner in the firm.

Nicki Richards, Practice Manager, Dip. Bus - Marketing

Nicki joined Chester Grey from a management background in corporate services. Nicki is responsible for the general practice management including business development, relationship management, marketing, client services, practice accounts, property management, human resource management, training, systems and process development and project management.

Nicki also assists a number of our clients with Human Resource matters consulting on staff recruitment, retention, employment contracts and policy documentation, redundancies, training/development and resolutions.

Deborah Fussey, CA - Manager, City Practice

With a wealth of experience in Senior Management Accounting and a solid manufacturing background, Deborah has completed assignments in systems analysis and refinement that involved secondment to client's premises. Deborah is available to assist our CBD clients as the Manager of our City Practice.

Dianne Barlow, CA - Manager

Dianne is a Senior Management Accountant with a corporate background. Dianne has worked for Chester Grey for a number of years specialising in Financial Accounting, Compliance and Interim Reporting.

Tim Appleton, CA - Manager B.Bus

Tim is a senior accountant specialising in interpretation of tax laws and lends an analytical tax point of view to our business advisory service. Tim worked with the Inland Revenue in highly technical areas for a number of years and is highly respected in the area of specialist taxation advice.

Cassandra Eade, CA

Cassandra joined Chester Grey late last year from a solid background in Chartered Accounting.  Cassandra takes on the task of managing at a Senior level, both staff and client management and we are pleased to have her join our team.

Venay has gained solid commercial experience in financial accounting. Venay is young and bright and has gathered sound knowledge working on compliance accounting within our firm. Venay hopes to develop in the areas of business advice to SME's and is presently located in our Papatoetoe office.

Mohammed Faruk, IT Manager B.Com , B.Sc , M.N.Z.C.S

Mohammed has been with Chester Grey for over 8 years. Faruk, as we call him, has vast experience in IT and can offer assistance to clients in problem solving, providing technical assistance, specifying, installing and support of small business computer systems. Faruk also installs specific computer software packages recommended by CG BizTech Ltd onto clients systems.

Susan Arudas - Accounts Administrator

Susan brings to Chester Grey a wide range of skills from an extensive finance and office management background. Susan's sound systems knowledge has been put to good use in the implementation of an extensive accounting system for one of our largest clients. Susan will be bringing her skills and knowledge to compliance work within the Chester Grey team.

Carole Smith - Admin Manager

Carole is a senior administrator responsible for statutory requirements of the Client Companies and administering our clients Tax related requirements. Carole is also involved with the planning and overseeing of our client seminars and informative newsletters - a part of her role that she greatly enjoys.
